Santiago Roncagliolo received Alfaguara’s Novel Prize for Abril rojo (Red April). He is also the author of the novel Pudor (Prudishness), three children’s books, and the play Tus
amigos nunca te harian dano (Your friends could never hurt you). He isa frequent contributor to the Spanish newspaper El Pais and currently livesin Spain.
A Public Space is an independent, non-profit publisher of the award-winning literary and arts magazine; and A Public Space Books. Since 2006, under the direction of founding editor Brigid Hughes the mission of A Public Space has been to seek out and support overlooked and unclassifiable work.
