Author

Richard Powers is the author of nine previous novels, most recently The Echo Maker (FSG), which won the National Book Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He has received a MacArthur Fellowship, a Lannan Literary Award, and the James Fenimore Cooper Prize for historical fiction. The story in this issue is adapted from his new novel, Generosity: An Enhancement (FSG), which will be published later this year. ​
