Elena Fanailova is the Moscow correspondent for Radio Liberty and the author of three poetry collections as well as a theatrical novel, which she wrote with Aleksandr Anashevich. Translations of her work are included in An Anthology of Contemporary Russian Women Poets (University of Iowa Press). ​
