Author
Kate Browne is an artist, writer, and director. She created her first Cocoon in 2008, when she was looking for a way to bring the themes she worked with in theater to a larger public, and her next Cocoon project will be in Paris in October 2014. Her work has been supported by the Ford Foundation and the Women’s Project, the Mississippi Museum of Arts with the National Endowment for the Arts, and most recently the Cultural Services of the US Embassy in Paris. Her work was included in the MASS MoCA exhibition Architectural Inventions, and she has written about the receptive unconscious in The Vitality of Objects (Wesleyan Press), a collection of essays exploring the work of the British psychoanalyst and writer Christopher Bollas.
