Jeffrey Yang is the author, most recently, of the poetry collection Vanishing-Line and the translator of Liu Xiaobo’s June Fourth Elegies (both Graywolf Press), as well as an editor at New Directions. An earlier version of the poem in this issue was written for the one hundredth anniversary of Grand Central Station and read at a celebration there sponsored by the MTA Arts for Transit and Urban Design and the Poetry Society of America on April 10, 2013.
